ANALYSIS OF THE GEOMECHANICAL CONDITION OF ISOLATED INTER-CHAMBER SUPPORTING CELLS

Issue 5, 2019

Summary

Methods for measuring inter-chamber columns in development systems in mineral deposits are based primarily on extensive experience gained over the years in mining industry. As a result, the following two phenomena are observed: a deficiency in carrying capacity is detected after its entry into service, or the whole is resized.

The paper proposes practical  as well as laboratory evaluation methods aimed at characterizing and defining the geomechanical state of the inter-chamber cells in the course of their work. A practically new classification method for quantification has been presented and tested, enabling the reaction of the inter-chamber cells and the subsequent state of the open spaces (chambers) around it to be predicted.

ABSTRACT
This article is dedicated to a study of the role of the mining industry in the Bulgarian economy since 2000. An analysis of important indicators is made together with a comparison of the value added on an European level by using statistical methods. Through this analysis some trends are derived. The critical view of the results leads to conclusions on the important role of the mining industry in the Bulgarian economy.
KEYWORDS: value added, mining industry, economic analysis, economic indicator
