РЕЗЮМЕ

Няма да сгрешим ако кажем, че иновациите са един от крайъгълните камъни за постигане на конкурентоспособност и основен фактор за трайно и устойчиво конкурентно предимство на фирмите. Особено актуално е тяхното значение през последните десетилетия, с развитието на информационните и комуникационните технологии, интернет на нещата и други съвременни технологии. Навлизането на съвременните технологии в т.нар. традиционни сектори на националната икономика, като сектора на добивната
промишленост е от ключово значение за модернизиране на процесите в нея и постигане на по-висока степен на ефективност. Основна цел на статията е да се проследи иновационната активност на предприятията от добивния сектор на българската икономика в съпоставка с общата за икономиката иновационна активност и с тази на възприеманите за най-иновативни стартъп фирми
