Summary
The article deals with the basic construction of the Rhodope Rock Complex, together with the basic mineralogical and geochemical processes. The author focuses mainly on the decorative and colored minerals in the different regions of the mountain. The article describes in detail the precious minerals aquamarine, emerald, heliodor, along with epidotes, agates, jasper. Mentioned are the major lead-zinc ore minerals – galenith, sphalerite, chalcopyrite, as well as widespread calcite.
